What Are RimWorld Components?

One mechanoid can be disassembled on a machining table for 50 steel, 10 plastic, and two components. It is possible, however, that you will not get all the material if the Centipede is missing some parts from combat. The fewer Centipedes there are, the less material you get.
Lancers and Scythers can be disassembled for 20 Steel, 1 Plasteel, and 1 Component. It is the same with materials – the fewer the parts, the fewer the materials.
The mechanoids are dangerous enemies, but you can use them as Component sources when no other source is available.
Dismantling is a relatively short-term way to get Components, and you only get a small percentage back. This method should only be used in an emergency.
You can also deconstruct ship chunks to obtain components during the game. In-game notifications will notify you if these items crash somewhere on the map. By scanning your map, you can find out where they are.
It is possible to get to where they are, break them, and get as many components as you can. On the bottom left of the screen, select “Deconstruct” after selecting the chunk. It will be up to the colonists assigned for construction work to break the chunks of the ship into components.
