With more than a billion users, Instagram is one of the world’s most popular photo and video-sharing apps. Instagram users upload a lot of pictures and videos and exchange direct messages.
Similar to Stories, Instagram Highlights are permanently embedded in your profile. Instagram Highlights are Stories you pin to your profile, not Stories that disappear after 24 hours.
You can present what you or your business are all about with highlights on your Instagram profile. Highlights don’t expire after 24 hours like Stories, so you can keep your profile fresh and exciting by editing them periodically.
You can see how many views a particular highlight has received and who has viewed your Instagram highlights.
How To See Who Viewed Your Instagram Highlights
You may occasionally want to check how many views an Instagram Highlight received, either out of curiosity or for business. View counts help you decide when to change or delete them based on their performance. A 48-hour window limits viewing counts and who viewed a particular highlight. These stats are gone after that period. Here’s how to view Instagram Highlight counts.
- Tap the profile photo in the lower right corner of your Instagram account.
- Open a highlight by clicking.
- View count is shown next to Seen by in the bottom-left section.
You can check if a particular account has viewed your Highlights by following the steps below. The 48-hour window applies again. Highlights remain until you delete them, but view stats expire.
- On Instagram, go to your profile.
- Select the Highlight you want information about.
- See who saw your Highlight by tapping the Seen by button in the bottom-left corner.
A highlight can also be hidden from someone, and you can always undo it by changing the privacy settings.
Instagram Highlights are a great way to save your favorite stories and share them permanently. They are useful for promoting products and companies for developed businesses. Regardless, Instagram is undoubtedly a great way to “highlight” your life or business with the ability to see who has viewed your Highlights and how many have viewed them. It would be better if view stats were permanent, or at least longer than 48 hours.

Here are some answers to your Instagram Highlights questions.
Can you see Instagram Highlight Stories without a poster knowing?
Highlight stories can’t be secretly viewed. However, you can see someone’s Story without being identified. Create a new Instagram account and watch the Highlight from there. You can’t prove it’s you unless you use your likeness.
If an Instagram account is private, you would have to send a follow request to view the stories and highlights.
Can I see who viewed my Instagram Story that I posted in Highlights after 24 Hours?
You can see everyone who saw your Instagram Story because you posted it in Highlights. For 48 hours, you can only view the viewers and view counts; then, those elements are gone. Until you delete the highlights, you can still view them.
Can you see how many times someone views your Instagram Highlights Story?
You can’t see how many times someone views your Instagram Highlights. View counts on Instagram only show who saw them, not how many times. Viewers of your Story could see it a million times without knowing. I think this is the best scenario.
Can someone see if I viewed their Instagram Story or Highlights Story without following them?
Instagram Stories will show anyone who views your Story, followers or not, but you shouldn’t stalk them. If you don’t want anyone to know it’s you, make a different account without your photo or follow them anyway!
How do you add Stories to your Instagram profile if you’re not familiar with Instagram Highlights? Fortunately, it’s easy. You can add your Stories to your Highlights here:
